4th Camping Trip - Cedar Hill State Park

On April 6-7, 2013 we attended the Texas Outdoor Family Workshop at Cedar Hill State Park! In our group we had 3 families that were about to set up camp, cook over an open fire, and go fishing for the first time! Our group of 14 learned how to set up the REI Camp Dome 6 tent, cook on the Coleman Dual Fuel Stove, and Leave No Trace during the weekend.

We are so very lucky to be able to spend quality time with the families as they experienced the outdoors, together. The kiddos in our group were true explorers and loved to run around, climb trees, and roast marshmallows by the campfire. We had 3 campers under the age of 5 and our youngest camper, EVER, was  a handsome 2 month old boy who went along with us and was snug in his momma's arms.

What's the best trip you've taken as a family?
What are some of your favorite memories?
