At this house we are fond of items found at thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets, and on the curb because someone didn't want it anymore! We've actually gotten pretty good at our little hobby because our entire house is predominately furnished with found goods. Sometimes we fix them up by adding a coat of paint and sometimes we can display them without having to do any work.
About a year ago I picked up a rusty cheese grater for a quarter at a thrift shop. I had the perfect idea in mind and just enough earrings to make it work.
