2nd Camping Trip: Dinosaur Valley State Park

Three more families experienced camping in the great outdoors during a Texas Outdoor Family workshop at Dinosaur Valley State Park Nov. 17-18, 2012. This was the first time each of these families went camping and they had a great time! Our volunteers were asked to keep them updated on more camping opportunities. We can't wait to take more families and youth OUTSIDE!!

A 45-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex & 70-foot Apatosaurus greet the visitors of the park. You can see more pictures from our trip when you visit and "LIKE" us on Facebook.

During the Texas Outdoor Family workshops families learn how to set up their tents and engage in outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, geocaching, and dutch oven cooking. They receive all the equipment and gear necesassary for a fun adventure for only $65. Our project sponsors 3 families during each trip by paying the fee and we also give them outdoor toys, a gas gift card, and cook meals all weekend!
